The final assessments results in November 2018 clearly demonstrate the breadth and depth of RICS in Switzerland. We celebrated a first with Matthias Bircher, successfully completing the first ever Corporate Real Estate assessment.
Many more potential Corporate Real Estate professionals are in the pipeline and we see this as a great opportunity to engage with this sector of the market. We are also seeing a growth in demand from the Facilities Management sector with two successful candidates. Increased professionalism in this sector, with a greater emphasis on strategic real estate, will see a growing demand for RICS qualifications.
Property Finance and Investment continues to be in great demand, reflecting the strong investment and asset management sectors in Switzerland. Many Banks and Funds see the RICS qualification as an essential requirement for their real estate related staff.
Our newly qualified professionals come from numerous other backgrounds, not just Banks and Funds but also investors, developers as well as advisors.
Last, but not least, we are also pleased that that the RICS qualification is in demand from those leading the education of the next generation. Prof Michael Trübestein, leader of the Masters of Advanced Studies in Real Estate at Hochschule Luzern also completed the assessment and commented:
Gaining the RICS qualification is a visible and strong commitment to the highest quality and standards in the real estate industry as well as the best professional behaviour, both, in Switzerland and on an international level.
These requirements fit in an ideal way with my values as well as those of Lucerne University and our real estate students: For me, the RICS qualification is a perfect fit and I am proud to be part of this leading institution.
