From 1 April 2018, the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard (MEES) regulations prevent landlords from granting a lease of commercial property that has an EPC rating lower than E unless they have carried out all cost-effective works to improve energy efficiency, or one of the exemptions applies.
This seminar comprises an overview of this requirement in relation to commercial properties, including the following aspects:
