There is a skills shortage threatening the future of the surveying profession.

In the recent RICS UK Construction and Infrastructure Market Survey, 66% of respondents in the UK reported shortages of quantity surveyors and with approximately 30% of the surveying profession aged over 50, it is imperative that we attract and retain the best talent from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Attracting talent is an industry wide problem so professionals, firms and the RICS need to come together to ensure we attract diverse talent with the right skills so that our profession is fit for the future.
