As an apprentice on a surveying apprenticeship we are here as a professional body to support you through your RICS assessment and in your career.

RICS end point assessment

Your end point assessment will differ depending on the apprenticeship you are on.

Surveying Technician Apprenticeship

Associate assessment is the end point assessment for this apprenticeship. This consists of:

  • 3000 word Summary of experience
  • 2500 word Case study
  • Record of a minimum of 48 hours of continuing professional development
  • Ethics test

Following successful completion of the end point assessment you will have RICS Associate status.

Chartered Surveying Apprenticeship

The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) is the end point assessment for this apprenticeship. This consists of:

  • A 5500 word summary of experience
  • A 3000 word case study
  • A record of at least 48 hours per annum of Continuing Professional Development activities undertaken over a minimum of 2 years 
  • Presentation and final interview

Following successful completion of the end point assessment you will have Chartered MRICS status.

Sign up for RICS student status

As you are on an apprenticeship in surveying you are eligible for RICS student status. This is free of charge and will give you access to RICS materials and support before you enrol on our assessments.
