Insolvency in construction contracts – the Carillion effect
Carillion, Britain's second largest construction firm, entered insolvency together with several subsidiaries on Monday 15 January 2018 with debts of about £1.5bn.  This session will explore the long-term effects of the Carillion collapse on how risk of termination of contract, corporate recovery and insolvency is managed in construction contracts.

This session will cover the latest decisions from the courts, looking at issues around concurrency and time being at large, as well as looking at some specific circumstances when making claims under the common standard forms of construction contract and any practical implications.
