During the third day at MIPIM, RICS continued its series of events dedicated to the impact of new technologies in the property profession.
On this occasion, a diverse roundtable of speakers discussed the skills required to meet new consumers’ need.
In the afternoon a superb female panel presented by RICS President, John Hughes FRICS and moderated by RICS CEO, Sean Tompkins enabled a great discussion on "the urbanised future – great city debate". Lisette Van Doorn, ULI Europe, Lisa Taylor, Chief Executive, Future of London, Jo Davis, Head – GVA National Planning, and Tina Paillet FRICS, Chair of RICS board in Europe, examined projects and policies that solve multiple challenges at one time, such as rapid urbanisation, climate change and resource scarcity, offering to the cities of tomorrow social, economic and physical benefits when designing initiatives and projects in a forward looking, risk aware, inclusive and integrated way.
Media attending MIPIM echoed the importance of thought leaders’ collaboration to embrace the transformation of the sector with platforms such as the World Built Environment Forum.
