RICS Matrics South Wales: Candidate Support – Sessions

Overview

RICS Matrics South Wales are continuing our candidate support sessions, taking full advantage of our RICS Wales office. To align with submission windows we will be delivering sessions on the APC process.

Session One - 29 August 2024

This session will look at the APC process holistically covering: 

1. Registration, pathways, competencies and the role of the supervisor and counsellor.
2. The final assessment- how to write your documents, the submission process and how to prepare your 10min presentation.
3. How to prepare for your interview.
4. What do assessors look for?
5. Some tips based on presenter experience. 

This is a broad session generally open to candidates on any part of their journey (pre-registration, on a structured training programme or those looking to sit in the coming months).

Session Two - 19 September 2024

A session on the mandatory competency Ethics, Rules of Conduct and professionalism.

The presentation will cover some of the key areas revised from speaker experience and also replicates the study checklist of the competency provided by RICS.

This is a session open to candidates on any part of their journey (pre-registration, on a structured training programme or those looking to sit in the coming months).
 

Session Three - 07 November 2024

A session on common mandatory questions and answers.

The presentation will cover some of the key areas revised from speaker experience and also replicates the study checklist of the competency provided by RICS.

This is a session open to candidates, especially those on the built environment pathways or on any part of their journey (pre-registration, on a structured training programme or those looking to sit in the coming months).

Tickets for all three sessions are free and refreshments will be provided by RICS.
