RICS joins the New European Bauhaus Community of Partners

We are happy to announce that we have been selected as one of the official partners of the New European Bauhaus Initiative.

The New European Bauhaus is a programme which aims to bring the EU Green Deal into everyday life, by transforming experiences in buildings and public spaces. It provides funding to organisations which are developing methods to design with three values in mind:

• sustainability, from climate targets, circularity, zero pollution, and biodiversity
• aesthetics, quality of experience and style, beyond functionality
• inclusion, from diversity to securing accessibility and affordability.

The community of Partners include organisations from all over Europe that support the values of the initiative and contribute to the discussion about the next steps closely with the European Commission. Our contribution to the community will be the importance of standards and the knowledge of our European members.

As a Partner of the New European Bauhaus, we will organise activities or projects, through our thought leadership vehicle WBEF. The key topics that we will address are legislation, education and skills to help build a sustainable and inclusive build and natural environment.
