The library

Fiona Fogden, the Knowledge and Information Services Manager, extends a warm welcome to the RICS Library. The physical library space is open when the building is open (Monday to Friday, usually from around 8.30am to 6.30pm). The building is closed completely for the days between Christmas and New Year. To see when the library is staffed please see the calendar at the end of this page.

You can search what is in the collection via the fully searchable library catalogue here.

When connected to the guest wifi you will also be able to access Building.co.uk and Property Week without the need for a login.

Physical copies of recent copies of Property Week, Estates Gazette and Building are available to read, but must not be removed from the library.

You do not have to use the library resources, you can just sit in the space, bring your laptop and work. We ask that if you are likely to hold an online meeting you are considerate of others in the space and use headphones.

Accessing the library

We try to keep the library available for members to go in or for researchers to use the archive even when events are on. If you are making a special visit please email knowledge@rics.org to check staff availability and levels of support available. Free access to members. Non-members must book in advance and buy a day-pass.

The calendar below is a helpful guide as to when the library is open, staffed, or an event taking place. The information in the calendar is subject to short-notice unforeseen circumstances. The calendar will only display if you have accepted cookies.
