RICS is proud to celebrate Black History Month in the UK and is ever proud to celebrate our Black professionals who make a huge difference to the sectors and markets that we operate within.

August 2020 saw the launch of RICS Advancing Inclusion for Black Professionals programme, this critical package of support will be embedded into all activities to ensure that Black professionals are visible, supported and listened to. Through the changes that this will make to the surveying profession, inclusion will progress, leading to greater equality and a profession fit for all.

Those that have expressed an interest in working more with RICS to raise the profile of Black professionals will receive a survey identifying how they wish to be involved, be it through a diversity panel, reverse mentoring, speaking at conferences and contributing to thought leadership. Gathering this data is vital to ensure that RICS provides the very highest levels of engagement and support.

RICS is listening and willing to learn how best to support Black professionals, working with you to improve the profession and create meaningful and long-lasting change.

Black History Month is a time for reflection, celebration and an opportunity to look to the future with hope and commit to real change, RICS joins with our Black professionals during this month and every month in reflection, celebration and commitment to change.
