Overview
As a project manager, you'll oversee the construction project lifecycle, from start to finish. This involves working with clients on requirements, managing design, procurement, construction, and final handover. Mastering this enhances your skills as a construction professional and project executor.
Throughout the course, you'll explore each project stage and its key steps. This includes planning, organizing, and controlling construction operations, and managing feasibility studies, design, construction, maintenance, refurbishment, and demolition. The content provides a well-rounded view of construction project management and essential skills.
By completing all modules, you will have demonstrated knowledge of the core elements of construction project management and be able to apply key skills to co-ordinate building projects. The technical content is also aligned with the core competencies under the RICS project management pathway, and so will enhance your ability to become an RICS professional.

- Identify and develop the client brief
- Manage the feasibility and strategy stages
- Establish the project budget and project
- Identify and manage project risks
- Advise the selection/appointment of the project team
- Manage the preparation of design and construction programmes/schedules and Critical Path Method networks
- Advise on alternative procurement strategies and conduct tender evaluation and contractor selection
- Control, monitor, and report on project progress and establish communication and management protocols programme

He is currently the Managing Director of Provelio Ltd, a strategic project management consultancy serving a variety of organisations across all sectors. Paul also serves as a Board Director and Treasurer for Constructing Excellence South West.
