The main purposes of the Global Members Committee (GMC) are to consider and recommend regional business plans developed by World Regional Boards for approval by RICS Board as part of the overall business plan, champion the delivery, and ensure the quality and consistency, of member services, experience, engagement and value and act as a conduit between RICS members, World Regional Boards and RICS Board.
The Committee reports to the RICS Board and takes oversight of the five World Regional Boards (UK & Ireland, Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa) who report into the Committee.

With over 30 years of extensive experience in real estate development, investment, and consulting, Sanjay Dutt stands as a distinguished leader in the industry. He currently serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd. (TRIL) and Tata Housing Development Company Ltd. Under his dynamic leadership, TRIL is committed to being a responsible real estate development organization, dedicated to creating and managing smart, secure, social, and sustainable spaces that positively impact both the environment and society. Mr. Dutt oversees a vast portfolio of 37 million square feet of development and asset management across 13 cities and 21 projects in India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. This portfolio spans diverse sectors including commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential (luxury/premier, affordable, second home, and mixed-use township). Additionally, he is instrumental in managing infrastructure projects encompassing ropeways, roadways, and a metro project in Pune. His illustrious career includes over two decades with the top three global real estate consulting firms. As Managing Director, South Asia at Cushman & Wakefield (2001-2008 and 2012-2016), he led the establishment of new businesses and mentored leaders, driving successful turnaround strategies, growth, and profitability. He also played a key role in the successful merger and integration of DTZ and C&W. In his previous roles, he has been the CEO of the business at JLL (2008-2012) and CBRE, India (1996-2001), where he was instrumental in setting up businesses in Mumbai and Pune. Haroon is a chartered quantity surveyor with more than 18 years of experience in the construction industry. as part of his current role at HKA he leads the Construction Claims and Expert Service Line across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region comprising a team of over 200 consultants. He is dual qualified as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (FRICS) and as a barrister; therefore, well placed to provide advice and opinion in relation to the most complex of construction disputes. He has been appointed as a quantum expert and provided expert testimony in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Haroon has experience in all forms of dispute resolution and excellent knowledge of the JCT, NEC, FIDIC and MPW contracts in Kuwait; the Saudi Public Works Contract; and the Saudi Aramco standard form contracts, as well as various ad hoc contracts. Haroon specialises in the quantification of construction cost claims and he supports clients across various market sectors, from power, oil and gas to major buildings and infrastructure projects. Haroon holds a masters in both law and quantity surveying. He is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Haroon was awarded HKA’s 2014 Worldwide Consultant of the year award for his achievements and has been named one of the top 100 most influential construction leaders in the Middle East by Construction Week. Haroon is the Chair for the World Regional Board, Middle East and Africa of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Kenneth Wood has been appointed as the new Global Members Committee Member and UK and Ireland World Regional Board Chair and will be replacing Simon Prichard with effect from 8 August 2025. Ken is a Partner at Drees & Sommer, a European-based, partner-managed company that provides consulting, planning, and project management services for the real estate, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. He is a Fellow of RICS and a Chartered Director, holding an MBA in Construction & Real Estate from the University of Reading. Ken comes with experience in working globally across a number of disciplines and is an experienced Non-Executive Director. Previously an owner of AA Projects, a UK based project management and consulting business and prior to that, worked as a Director of a global consulting business operating in the UK and MENA regions.
Michael’s current role is Vice President and Head of Cost Management for the New York and East / Central US region, Turner and Townsend. In this role Michael oversees a team of nearly 200 Cost Managers and his cost team manage approximately $20bn of capital projects for clients annually. Michael graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2006 and went on to complete his RICS accredited MSc in Commercial Surveying at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating in 2009. Prior to joining Turner & Townsend, Michael worked for main contractor / construction service provider in the UK who specialize in commercial refurbishments, retail fit outs and education, government and religious projects. Michael undertook a graduate development program with the firm before being promoted to Principle Account Surveyor. Michael then moved to a large developer who specialize in new build projects and who focus on student accommodation blocks throughout the UK and worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the firm. Michael has been with Turner & Townsend in New York since 2014 and throughout his career Michael has managed project teams and has led individual projects with a range of values from $1M - $6B. Michael is a member of the Turner & Townsend North America Cost Management Board, a member of the Turner & Townsend People Committee, the lead of the Turner & Townsend Cost Benchmarking and Market Intelligence forum for the USA and their International Construction Market Survey, and he chairs the New York offices RICS APC group.
Partner, Head of Sustainability & ESG, CEE + Nordics, Cushman & Wakefield
Stefan is a pre-eminent leader in Sustainability and Asset Management, with a diverse collection of professional experiences in the European real estate industry. Currently he is a Partner and Head of Sustainability CEE + Nordics region at Cushman & Wakefield, where he is coordinating and expanding the firm’s Sustainability and ESG teams and scope. He is acting as an active member of Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA Sustainability Leaders Board which is responsible for driving Sustainability services, sharing best practice, knowledge, and service unification for clients across the entire EMEA region. Stefan is MRICS since 2012, a member of the RICS European Sustainability Working Group, Member of the Advisory Board at the International Sustainability Finance Centre in Prague, lecturing Ethics and Valuation for the MBARE program at the University of Business and Economics in Prague and chairing the Members Engagement Group of RICS in the Czech Republic. With over 25 years of real estate experience, Stefan started his career in real estate in 1999 with optimization residential portfolios of non-profit social housing corporations in the Netherlands. After moving to the Czech Republic in 2010, he spent over 10 years at CTP, one of Europe's largest L&I developers. Here he was acting as Group Head of Property Management and later acting as Group Sustainability Officer. Now at Cushman & Wakefield he is responsible for the delivery of high impact advisory services for Occupiers, institutional real estate investors, pension funds, portfolio investors and others on decarbonisation and Sustainability topics.
