After a period of redevelopment and thorough testing, the new RICS Assessment Platform is now available for candidates, assessors, and counsellors.

RICS delivers over 5,000 assessments each year for Associate and Chartered qualifications. Following the suspension of the Assessment Resource Centre (ARC) in August 2021, we have been developing and testing a new system extensively, taking the opportunity to add features that will deliver a smoother professional experience for everyone using the platform.

“Becoming RICS-qualified requires a lot of hard work and dedication from all involved — candidates, assessors, and counsellors. In launching the new global assessment platform, the RICS has listened to feedback and taken another step towards improving the assessment journey and delivering on its promise putting member and candidate needs first.”

Keith Thomas FRICS - Qualification & Assessment Committee Chair

Following valuable member and candidate feedback, the new features enhancing user experience include:

  • Greater control of assessment data, a smoother assessment submission experience, and more self-service options putting candidates in control of their assessment journey
  • A simplified process for viewing and approving candidate’s progress
  • A single source to provide availability, access information on candidates and upload results and supporting documents
  • Training Manager view to allow Training Managers and Learning & Development personnel in firms to monitor the progress of their candidates‘ automatic validation of evidence, including counsellor, proposer and seconder roles, assisting candidates in completing correct competencies for their pathway and meeting CPD requirements

All candidates, assessors and counsellors are encouraged to explore the updated features, guides and supporting videos available on the new RICS Assessment Platform. RICS assessment delivery and candidate support teams are available to support platform users with any queries.
