With no commonly accepted definition, and a wealth of complex case law on the matter, practical completion is one of the more vexed issues in the world of construction.

This session will look at scenarios in which practical completion can and cannot be certified, consider the respective roles and responsibilities of all project partners, and review the legal precedents in cases of disputed completion.

  • Certifying practical completion: essential considerations
  • Necessary documentations
  • Post-certification: de minimis items, defects liability periods, partial possession and beneficial occupancy
  • Case law

The published time is when registration opens. The seminar will begin 30 minutes later.
