FAQs

The Professional Group Panels have been formed following the recommendations in the Bichard RICS Review to ensure a greater role and voice for the professional disciplines within RICS’ formal governance structure. Their formation was based on extensive global consultation and roundtable discussion with members.

Chairs and members of the PGPs were appointed through a transparent process defined by the Nominations and Renumeration Committee.  A paper-based selection process was proposed for the members of the PGPs to ensure that this process is completed in an efficient, transparent, and clear manner.

The chairs of the PGPs, who also sit on the Knowledge and Practice Committee, were appointed in accordance with the Global Appointments Model (GAM). Panel Members were selected by Chairs of the PGPs and approved by Simon Rawlinson, Chair of the Knowledge and Practice Committee.

The PGPs meet quarterly. The work of each PGP is supported by RICS staff, including a responsible lead with appropriate sector expertise to act as the leading point of engagement the chair and panel members.
