Applications for Senior Vice President 2026 are now closed, with Susanne Eickermann-Riepe FRICS elected as RICS 2026 Senior Vice President.

RICS will be running elections to be the next Senior Vice President (2027) in late spring 2026. The elected candidate will become Senior Vice President on 1 January 2027.

Being our next Senior Vice President is an opportunity to be part of a globally recognised professional body that is committed to effecting positive change in the built and natural environments.

The role of Senior Vice President is open to all chartered members (FRICS/MRICS) in good standing, and we welcome applications from chartered members based anywhere globally.

Applications for Senior Vice President are expected to open in late spring 2026 and follow the schedule below. Details of the Senior Vice President election 2027 will be published on this page as they are confirmed.

Process

The Senior Vice President selection process is robust with a multi-stage approach including defined selection criteria, and independent oversight. From the initial engagement of a diverse appointments panel and external search consultants to thorough due diligence on both candidates and their supporters, each step ensures a fair and rigorous evaluation.

The process encourages applications from all eligible members and includes comprehensive background checks and independent assessments. It culminates in a Governing Council election set out in the Standing Orders. All of which provide multiple layers of scrutiny and accountability.
