Overview

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are becoming widely uitlised in the field of surveying to provide timely data for professional use. The safety and operational guidelines of such technologies are being extensively analysed as its application is being discussed for wider adoption in surveying, progress monitoring and inspections.

Meet the speaker:

Mr Rickson Chow, President of the International Unmanned Aircraft Systems Association

Mr Rickson Chow has been the President of the International Unmanned Aircraft Systems Association, Hong Kong, (IUASA) since 2015. He has over 20 years' experience in remote-controlled systems, and has provided professional UAV flight training and aerial services for over 1,000 operators in the field of surveying, construction, security, production, education and NGO. Rickson has a Master of Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering.
