We are now recruiting for the role of Chair of the RICS Building Conservation Advisory Group (BCAG).

Background and Purpose

This is a non-executive position appointed from within RICS’ membership.

The primary role of the BCAG Chair will be to provide leadership to the BCAG ensuring that the Group fulfils its duties in accordance with the Terms of Reference for the Group.

This is an interesting opportunity for members who are passionate about RICS and would like to be involved with their organisation and support the Building Conservation sector.

To apply for this role, members must be able to:

  • demonstrate that they have the required knowledge and expertise of building conservation and heritage matters, and they meet the requirements detailed under the ‘person specification’ section of the role description, and;
  • send a copy of their current CV to governanceappointments@rics.org by the end of 16 October 2026, If you already are a member of the BCAG in any capacity, please state in your CV the total length of time spent in the Group as of 31 December 2026.
