- The fees you will need to pay depend on the country you work in and the assessment route you have chosen – the fees are set out in the table below

What do the different fees cover? And when are they due?
Enrolment fee
The enrolment fee covers your candidate registration, online Professional Module and final assessment.
NOTE:
- When enrolment takes place before 1 October you will pay the current year’s subscription in full and you will then be required to pay the following year’s subscription when this becomes due, on 1 January.
- When enrolment takes place after 1 October, your subscription fee will cover the period from October to December of the current year and all of the following year.
Subscription fee
The candidate subscription fee covers support materials and access to our Assessment Platform and is payable each year up to the point you become qualified.
RICS subscription is due every year on 1 January
NOTE:

RICS offers concessions on subscriptions in some circumstances. These can only be applied for at the point of enrolment - Concessions
We recognise how important your professional status is to you, we also understand that sometimes your personal situation should be considered when your professional fee is due.
Election Fee
Your election fee is a one-off charge by the RICS to admit you into the institution (as either an Associate, Chartered or Fellow) after you have passed your assessment. It is separate from your ongoing annual subscription fee.
NOTE:
- Already admitted members are not required to pay this fee if they are upgrading from Associate membership to Chartered membership, or Chartered membership to Fellowship.
Recognised Professional Qualification fee*
The Recognised Professional Qualification fee covers your member registration and award pack and includes your first-year annual subscription fee that provides access to all RICS professional services.
Any candidate subscription fee paid (see above) for the same calendar year will be deducted from the election fee.
*not all candidate will have to pay this fee, this is only for MRICS Recognised Professional Qualification and Associate Recognised Professional Qualification, see regional fees PDFs above.
What happens if I want a refund?
All fees are non-refundable unlesss you are able to withdraw your application within a cooling off period of 14 days (10 working days) from the date your enrolment is processed by RICS. If you decide to withdraw your application please contact us on the details below.
