    The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) have announced the winning teams and individuals of the 2026 Awards that are being celebrated for their contribution to shaping the future of the built and natural environments in New Zealand.

    The annual competition in New Zealand recognises industry leading achievements and the teams, companies and individuals who uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics across the built and natural environments.

    Firms and individuals from across the country competed for one of the prestigious titles in this year's ceremony. This year's entrants have been responsible for some of the biggest projects New Zealand has seen to date, including bringing investment into the commercial sector, essential infrastructure and leading the fight against climate change.

    The winners were announced at the official announcement ceremony that took place at Park Hyatt, Auckland on Wednesday 26 August 2026.

    John Darroch MRICS was honoured as the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award, the most prestigious award for built environment professionals.

    After careful consideration by a team of expert judges, the winners are:

    • Building Consultancy Team of the Year: Hampton Jones
    • Construction Professional of the Year: Laura Hebdon – RCP
    • ​Emerging Achiever of the Year: Alex Vakhrousheva – Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga
    • Emerging Achiever of the Year: Mark Simento – RCP​
    • Lifetime Achievement Award: John Darroch MRICS
    • Project Management Team of the Year: RCP
    • Property/Facilities Team of the Year: Bayleys Commercial Property Management
    • Property Professional of the Year: Jonathan Manns FRICS – Te Toi Mahana
    • Quantity Surveying Team of the Year: Hampton Jones
    • Real Estate Advisory Team of the Year: Colliers
    • Real Estate Agency Team of the Year: CBRE New Zealand
    • Research Team of the Year: School of Built Environment, Massey University
    • Valuation Team of the Year: CBRE New Zealand
    • Woman of the Built Environment Award: Laura Hebdon – RCP
