Upon obtaining a licence number, members /regulated firms will be able to produce branded RICS regulated reports using RICS ProForms or from chosen organisations who are permitted to sell RICS templates.
Respected by buyers, sellers and property professionals, branded RICS home survey reports are used on a range of homes, from new apartments to older houses. A licence helps you stay prepared and offer your customers quality assured and compliant surveys for their needs.
RICS members/regulated firms are also permitted to produce bespoke Home Survey Reports without the RICS brand, but any form of this type must comply with the Home Survey Standard, in these instances there is no requirement to purchase a licence to do so.

To deliver the RICS Home Survey Level 1, you must be an AssocRICS, MRICS or FRICS member of RICS, with the appropriate surveying experience. See the RICS Home Survey Standard for more details.
Since the Level 1 report has no valuation element, you do not need to be a member of the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme. The RICS Home Survey Level 1 does not provide reinstatement costs or additional diagnosis of defects or offer advice for remedying defects.
