On 17 September 2025 a Disciplinary Panel heard three charges against Mr Toombs. The charges were found proved and the Panel ordered that Mr Toombs be expelled from Membership of RICS.

Mr Toombs appealed the Disciplinary Panel decision which was heard by an Appeal Panel on 22 May 2026. The Appeal Panel dismissed Mr Toombs appeal. The Panel also an order for costs in favour of RICS.
