RICS Matrics Hampshire: Site Visit - Southampton Outdoor Sports Centre by Morgan Sindall Group

Overview

Join us for a 2 hour site visit around the Outdoor Sports Centre in Southampton to see some of the varying works underway by Morgan Sindall.

Full PPE is required; Hard hat, gloves, eye protection, steel toe capped boots, high-vis.

The spaces are limited, therefore if you are no longer able to attend, please do let us know so we can reallocate your space.

The Outdoor Sports Centre (OSC) Masterplan of improvements is intended to significantly improve and enhance with new facilities the unique Outdoor Sports Centre, “Increasing inclusive access for Sport and Physical Activity” tackling inequalities and introducing more communities to Active Wellbeing.

Proposed original full Masterplan facilities include:

1. New Community Hub 
2. Three new floodlit artificial football pitches
3. Two existing all-weather hockey pitches upgraded with improved lighting & storage
4. Significant improvements to Snowsports Centre with new ski lodge
5. Transformation of the ‘Family Zone
6. Improvements to existing athletics track
7. Improvements to 4 cricket pitches and non turf wickets
8. Additional cycling facilities
9. 275 car parking spaces including EV charging points
10. The OSC Masterplan also includes general improvements to the site – seating, external table tennis, landscaping, CCTV, lighting, surfacing, cycle/scooter storage, and signage
11. Improvements for Active Environment for informal recreation
12. Transport Improvements to enable access by active and sustainable transport.
     

On the site visit, we will attend various different portions of the live works all at varying stages.
