Overview

Join us for an exclusive site visit to Amounderness House, a Grade II listed building in Preston currently undergoing a £9 million regeneration following more than 20 years of vacancy.

Originally constructed in 1857 as a police station and magistrates’ court, with further extensions added in 1901, the building is now being sensitively refurbished with a strong focus on heritage conservation, sustainability, and future public use. The scheme includes internal & façade improvements and the transformation of the rear courtyard, carefully balancing historic character with modern requirements.

This exclusive tour is for RICS Matrics surveyors on construction pathways and will commence at 2pm.

Tickets are extremely limited, so early booking is advised. To secure a ticket, we kindly ask for £10, which will be fully donated to LionHeart. LionHeart is an independent charity supporting RICS professionals, past and present, and aims to support members both personally and professionally whenever life throws them a curveball.

This is a rare opportunity to see a significant heritage-led regeneration project first-hand and gain insight into the challenges and opportunities of working with listed buildings.

Photographs may be taken at this event. If you do not wish to be photographed, please make the Matrics host and/or photographer aware.
