This course will help you to understand the legislation relating to information security and the steps you and your organisation should take to manage information safely and securely.

This course will suit you if your job role handles data. Information is the lifeblood of today’s interconnected world; it powers communication, drives innovation, and enables informed decisions. But with great power comes great responsibility, especially when it comes to information security.
In this 60-90-minute interactive online course, you’ll learn about the principles of protecting information while ensuring it can still fulfil its purpose.

- Explore the stages that data goes through from its initial creation to its deletion
Information security standards and legislation
- Discover standards including ISO/IEC 27001, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, and UK GDPR

- Delve into the types and stages of a cyber attack
Vulnerabilities and risk assessment
Find out about risk categories and how to rate risks
