Overview

The Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 has had significant knock on effects for the construction industry. With ethical and sustainable practices joining cost considerations in decision making processes around awarding public sector contracts, the importance of not only building with integrity, but effectively demonstrating is more important than ever to contractors. This session will look at best practice approaches to both practicing and demonstrating the social value of a proposed project.
Topics covered will include:

  • Defining and demonstrating social value
  • Examples of social value in practice
  • Collaborative contractual approaches to maximising social value

The published time is when registration opens. The seminar will begin 30 minutes later.
