Overview

The existing UK RICS construction cost classification model contained within NRM 1 (Order of cost estimating and cost planning for capital building works) and NRM 3 (Order of cost estimating and cost planning for building maintenance works) is being amended to align with ICMS.

Steven Thompson FRICS

Associate Director of the Built Environment, RICS

Steven has spent the bulk of his career in private practice as a quantity surveyor and project manager. Prior to joining RICS in 2016 he worked Client-side with a property developer and outsourcing company, including PFI school developments.

Steven joined the RICS in September 2016 and is one of the Associate Directors within the RICS Professional Groups Built Environment department, responsible for the Quantity Surveying and Project Management Professional Group Boards. He is also involved with the related Infrastructure groups. Steven is a member of the ‘Black Book’ Working Group and a member of the JCT Drafting Sub-Committee.
