We are now recruiting for the role of an RICS member appointment to the Audit, Risk, Assurance & Finance Committee (ARAFC). This is a non-executive position appointed from within RICS’ membership.
The main purposes of the ARAFC are oversight regarding financial management and reporting, financial sustainability and the annual report and accounts; accountability for reserves policy, investments and pensions; and ensuring that there is an adequate and effective risk management and assurance framework in place and that these are reviewed to meet the needs of the RICS Board and, where necessary, Governing Council.

This is an interesting opportunity for members who are passionate about RICS and would like to be involved in the Committee’s monitoring of the integrity and effectiveness of RICS’ financial reporting, internal control and risk management systems, reviewing anti-fraud measures and Raising Concerns policies and reviewing the effectiveness of and recommending each year the appointment of the external auditor.
