Each year, outstanding achievement, teamwork, and companies are recognised across Australia and 2026 will be no different.

The RICS Awards creates a unique platform to showcase innovations and achievements in Australia’s built environment, as well as encourage development and advancements within the industry. Continuing these good causes, the RICS Awards aims to attract wider participation from the sector, whereby promoting the highest professional standards, pioneering better places to live and work, and creating a force for positive social impact. We look forward to receiving visionary and inspiring nominations this year.

Dr David Parker is an internationally recognised property industry expert and highly regarded property academic with forty years’ experience in property including being Valuer General of NSW, Professor of Property at the University of South Australia, an Acting Commissioner of the NSW Land and Environment Court and a Sessional Senior Member of the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Dr Parker is a Visiting Professor of Property at the Henley Business School, University of Reading and has published several books and numerous academic papers, regularly acting as a mediator in property disputes and as an expert witness on property funds management and property valuation matters in the Federal Court and the Supreme Courts. A passion for existing buildings particularly industrial assets and the stories they tell has taken Andrea from Cornwall, UK where she started her career to Sydney. Starting her career as a capital works manager for a hospital trust this led to senior roles within national and global real estate firms encompassing building consultancy, project management and client management. This background has enabled Andrea to develop a unique yet transferable skill set that combines leadership roles with precise project management, the full range of technical skills as a building consultant and a deep understanding of legal frameworks. Andrea is currently a Director of Tregantle Consulting which was created to bring commercial outcome certainty and strategic influence to building owners and occupiers. The focus of Tregantle being a down-to-earth approach and a commitment to simplifying the complexities of the industry whilst at all times remaining flexible and genuine, with an absolute focus on client service.

Returning from the UK, Mark next undertook primarily residential development projects of varying scale and complexity, mainly in Melbourne’s inner and south-eastern suburbs. An opportunity then arose to join McDonald’s Australia where his role was site acquisition and securing of town planning consent across three states. A similar role with Coles Group Property Developments Limited followed. Currently a consultant providing property advice to a broad client base, Mark is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
