As one of our new RICS Board Committees, The Knowledge and Practice Committee is responsible for overseeing the advancement of knowledge and professional practice. This includes developing the provision of advice and information, training and professional development materials and the sharing of best practice and training and development opportunities for members. Reporting to the RICS Board, the Committee will support the implementation and development of technical standards (providing input to the Standards and Regulation Board) and assist in amplifying the voice of the profession.
The Committee is supported by Professional Group Panels for the sectors below. Each Professional Group Panel will be comprised of 8 – 12 members from the relevant professional groups.
The Residential PGP is now recruiting for two RICS members to join the panel.
Ideally, but not essentially, one of the new members would have a working knowledge of the wide range of pressures on housing associations, for example retrofit and resolving mold and damp issues. If this is you, please include that information in your application.
Please read the Member role description for the Residential PGP thoroughly and follow the instructions in the Member application process for the Residential PGP and submit your application via the form.
See the downloads section below for instructions before submitting your application.
The Residential PGP application submission deadline: 5pm on 27 March 2026 GMT
To register your interest in one of the panels listed above please send your name, role, organisation, RICS member number and the name of the panel you wish to join to pgp@rics.org.
Only qualified members are considered for the Professional Group Panels.
We will record your interest and contact you to apply should a space arise within that panel. Please read the role description from the downloads below to familiarise yourself with the expectations of the role.
