Knowledge and Practice Committee Overview:

RICS is looking for engaged and passionate Members to serve on the newly formed Professional Group Panels (PGPs). Your energy will help shape the RICS strategy and plans for the relevant Professional Groups.

As one of our new RICS Board Committees, The Knowledge and Practice Committee will be responsible for overseeing the advancement of knowledge and professional practice.  This includes developing the provision of advice and information, training and professional development materials and the sharing of best practice and training and development opportunities for members. Reporting to the RICS Board, the Committee will support the implementation and development of technical standards (providing input to the Standards and Regulation Board) and assist in amplifying the voice of the profession.

The Committee is supported by Professional Group Panels for the sectors below. Each Professional Group Panel will be comprised of 8 – 12 members from the relevant professional groups.

  • Construction
  • Valuation
  • Commercial Property
  • Residential Property
  • Land and Natural Resources
  • Building Surveying and Building Control

How to get involved

We are not taking applications for the Professional Group Panels at this time.

To register your interest please send your name, email and RICS number along with the name of the panel you wish to join to PGP@rics.org.

We will record your interest and contact you to apply should a space arise within that panel. Please read the role description from the downloads below to familiarise yourself with the expectations of the role.
