Rewiring real estate: the future of Britain’s regional cities

In-Person

Overview

Power is moving out of Westminster. As the Burnham government’s devolution agenda changes how Britain plans, funds and builds, our regional cities have a once-in-a-generation chance to shape their own futures. Who will lead that change, and what will it take to get it right?

For the first time, RICS is taking its flagship Marquee panel series out of London and into the heart of the West Midlands. Rewiring real estate brings together some of the most influential names in UK development, leaders from local and national government, and one of the country’s top property journalists for a frank discussion of what devolution really means for the places where we live and work.

Speakers

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Justin Young, RICS CEO
  • Tom Bloxham MBE, Founder, Urban Splash
  • Michael Ingall, Chairman, Allied London
  • Jay Squier, Development Director, Henley Investment Management (developer of Birmingham’s Martineau Place)
  • Melissa York, Assistant Editor, The Sunday Times & The Times

They will be joined by RICS and senior political figures, with more speakers to be announced.

Who can attend?

Whether you’re a developer, investor, surveyor, planner or policymaker, this is your chance to hear directly from the people redrawing the map of regional regeneration, put your questions to the panel and connect with peers from across the property and public sectors.

Drinks and canapés will be served - please advise us on any allergies by emailing publicaffairs@rics.org

Open to RICS members and non-members. Places are limited, so register early.
