Overview

Birmingham Local Members Group invite you to join this CPD session on achieving Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) from BM3, a design group with a focus on biodiversity and maintaining the urban environment.

The session will cover strategies and scenarios for applying BNG to housing developments, including where and how developments are likely to achieve BNG on-site. It will also explore where better outcomes may be achieved by including off-site options as part of the net gain and development design strategy. This overview will draw on examples encountered in the two years since BNG has become a statutory requirement, exploring how different stakeholders have tended to respond to the process.
