Join RICS Matrics Glasgow for an informative one hour online CPD session over lunchtime, delivered in partnership with Stratum Masonry, one of Glasgow’s leading stonemasonry specialists.
This session will provide a detailed technical overview of traditional stonework, covering topics such as stone repairs, refurbishment, sandstone restoration, lime pointing, lime harling, stone carving, and the identification of common stonework defects.
Drawing on real project experience, the presentation will explore both historic building conservation and modern stonemasonry methods, offering valuable insights relevant to those developing competencies in Building Pathology and Construction Technology. Case studies will illustrate how defects arise, how materials are selected, and how appropriate repair strategies are applied in practice.
The event is open to RICS members and is kindly hosted by Stratum Masonry.
