The World Built Environment Forum is the leading global community for the built and natural environment.
RICS professionals, across the private, public and non-profit sector, are the custodians of the built and natural environment. It is our responsibility to build and manage the core elements of the global society’s daily interaction with the world, from the homes they live in, their places of work, to the places they play and the infrastructure that underpins it all.
The world is undergoing significant change; exponential population growth, climate change, and the 4th industrial revolution re-defining business and work processes and transforming the way society interacts and consumer services are delivered. All this is playing out in a world where economic growth and social prosperity are essential in ensuring geo-political balance. The issues above pose serious challenges and a wealth of opportunities for the built and natural environment.
The WBEF brings together all those working at a global, regional and local level to debate, discuss, share ideas and innovate to ensure that we are creating sustainable places for all to live, work and play. We are not only the global leader in developing the skills and setting the standards that underpin the creation of places, we are also the leaders in working with and advising national governments, global NGOs and leading global firms across investment, construction, infrastructure, technology and business consultancy who are bringing about real change.
Through our online community, thought leadership, standards and guidance and series of summits we bring together built environment professionals, innovators and global influencers to discuss how we can all harness the enormous potential of the 21st century’s people and places.
As the global leader and professional body for the built and natural environment, we are the only global organisation who can facilitate and lead high-level and transformative conversations about the future of the built and natural environment and the impact it has on society at a global, regional and local level.
The WBEF is for all built and natural environment professionals and for those working with or alongside the profession who are bringing about real change in the way that we finance, create and manage places.
