Meet the new Matrics UK Chair – Annabel Huffer MRICS

Annabel Huffer MRICS, Senior Building Surveyor at Knight Frank, London, has been appointed as the new Chair of the Matrics UK Board, from June 2026.

Commenting on her appointment, Annabel said:

“I am delighted to be taking on the role of Matrics UK Chair. It is a real privilege to give back to a network that has played such an important role in my own journey into the profession, from starting out as an apprentice through to completing my APC and beyond.

During my tenure, I am focused on visibility and impact. By building on existing Matrics initiatives, we will continue to develop the next generation of surveyors and support them in taking the next step in their careers. By strengthening engagement across the wider industry, we can improve the pipeline of talent entering the profession and ensure a consistent Matrics experience across the UK. I am excited to continue to support and celebrate the work of our fantastic local committees and look forward to seeing what we can achieve in the next two years.”

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Neil Bear Hetherington FRICS, who steps down following two years as Chair of the Matrics Board. Neil’s commitment and leadership have played an important role in supporting Matrics members across the UK, and we are grateful for his contribution.
