We're developing the future journey to become a surveyor

Following the publication of the Entry & Assessment Review in 2024, RICS is progressing the Qualifications and Professional Development (QPD) Programme to explore and develop the future of qualifications, assessment and professional development across the profession.

While this work is underway, the current route to qualification remains unchanged and will continue to operate as normal.

The QPD Programme is focused on designing a future model that is more accessible, flexible and responsive to the needs of the profession. We are working closely with employers, universities, members and candidates to shape our plans. We’ll continue to provide updates as the Programme progresses.

What does this mean for me?

For now, it's business as usual. The current route to qualification remains in place while we develop proposals for the future. We'll continue to share updates as the programme progresses, and any future changes will be communicated well in advance of implementation.
