Overview
RICS Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) is pleased to announce that John Fletcher will be visiting Hong Kong in June.
During his visit, John is keen to meet with RICS professionals and wider stakeholders in the region to strengthen engagement and exchange insights on dispute resolution in the built environment.
About the session
This session will provide:
- An overview of DRS activity globally, including key developments.
- Insight into how DRS is supporting the resolution of built environment disputes across different jurisdictions.
- An opportunity to discuss how these approaches and services can be applied and tailored to Hong Kong.
Speaker
John Fletcher
Executive Director, Dispute Resolution Service, RICS
John Fletcher was born in South Africa and took his B Com LLB from Rhodes University and his M Phil and PhD in administrative law from Cambridge. He returned to SA and practised as a barrister at the Johannesburg Bar for ten years in a civil commercial practice with some constitutional work. John is the Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) at RICS and is responsible for RICS’s global DRS including arbitration, adjudication, dispute boards, mediation and expert witnesses. Under John’s leadership RICS DRS has grown to be the largest built-environment specific Dispute Resolution and Avoidance service provider internationally and has moved increasingly into providing consultancy services for government and major stakeholders in infrastructure projects.
