Overview

Join the RICS Black Country Local to explore the importance of early engagement and the role of managing Party Wall matters effectively under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.

This session introduces core Party Wall principles, including when the Act applies, the roles of appointed surveyors, and the process of notices and Awards, supporting participants in understanding both statutory requirements and good practice aligned with current RICS guidance. We will also explore how early involvement during feasibility and design stages can help identify risks sooner, improve programme certainty, and reduce the likelihood of delays or disputes.

Designed for both junior and experienced surveyors, the session offers a clear foundation for those new to Party Wall matters, while providing a valuable refresher for those looking to strengthen their advisory and risk management approach at pre-construction stage.

Open to both RICS members and non-members, this session offers an excellent opportunity to build your understanding of Party Wall matters or refresh your knowledge if you haven’t engaged with the discipline for some time.

On-site parking available.
