AgilePM™ Foundation V3

The AgilePM v3 Foundation course provides a comprehensive introduction to Agile project management, focusing on leadership, collaboration and delivering real business value. You’ll explore Agile principles, Scrum integration, and the project lifecycle. Gaining insights into key roles, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.

Duration: The course takes approximately 24 hours to complete.

Prerequisites

This course assumes a basic understanding of Scrum, which will be tested in the exam. The APMG Scrum Essentials exam is not a pre-requisite, but the knowledge learnt is a requirement as part of the AgilePM Foundation learning and exam. To support this, we've included our accredited Scrum Essentials eLearning alongside the AgilePM v3 Foundation course which must be completed prior to course attendance.

Target audience

This qualification is aimed at anyone looking to increase the agility of their projects in the face of Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA) in their operating/market
environment.

Specifically, it is targeted at individuals who are, or will be, leaders or members of an Agile project team and those acting as informed stakeholders of that project during a period of
change within part or all of their organization.

Learning objectives

By the end of the course you should be able to recall, recognize and demonstrate Understanding of the theories, concepts, models and approaches outlined in guide, namely:

1. Understanding Agile principles and concepts: Grasp the fundamentals of AgilePM, including the Agile Manifesto, Business Agility, and how agility helps deal with VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity).
2. Scrum knowledge: Be familiar with Scrum, including its values, roles, events, and artefacts, and understand how Scrum theory and practices integrate with AgilePM.
3. Project lifecycle and roles: Understand the AgilePM project lifecycle phases, the roles and responsibilities within an Agile project, and the principles of Agile leadership and stakeholder interactions. ​
4. Collaboration, communication, and planning: Know the importance of effective collaboration and communication in Agile projects, and understand AgilePM planning and control concepts, including risk management and tracking progress. 
5. Governance and compliance: Understand the differences between traditional and Agile governance, how to assure regulatory compliance in Agile projects, and the principles of financial governance in an Agile context.

• 50 questions per paper
• 30 marks required to pass (out of 50 available) – 60%
• 40 minutes duration
• Closed book
