Overview

A culture of urgency and high-pressured project environments leave the construction industry highly susceptible to fraudulent conduct and misrepresentation. In April 2026, the UK government introduced new plans to tackle Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) fraud, and the sector is also directly affected by the 2025 Failure to Prevent Fraud (FTPF) offence.

This one-hour webinar provides an overview of the key tenets of fraud prevention procedures from a legal and operational perspective, and discusses how you can protect your own reputation and that of your organisation. You’ll learn the steps you can take to assess the risk of fraud, to conduct due diligence at each step and to effectively monitor, review and ensure ongoing compliance. Real-life case examples shed light on common instances of fraudulent practice within construction and the associated penalties.
