RICS announces formation of the Knowledge and Practice Committee

Following the announcement of Simon Rawlinson as Knowledge and Practice Committee Chair, RICS is delighted to announce more members of the committee who also serve as Professional Group Panel chairs.

There are six Professional Group Panels, and the chair of each panel will also sit on the Knowledge and Practice Committee. They are:

• David Parker FRICS - Independent Consultant (Vice Chair)
  
• Valuation – Nick Knight MRICS, Head of Valuation UK, CBRE
• Residential Property – Emma Fletcher MRICS, Low Carbon Homes Director, Octopus Energy
• Building Surveying and Building Control – Cliff L’Aimable MRICS, Managing Director, Building Control Surveyors Ltd
• Land and Natural Resources – David Sandbrook FRICS, Partner, Minerals and Waste Management, Carter Jonas
• Commercial Property – Roddy Houston MRICS, Principal, Houston Real Estate Consulting
• Construction – Roger Esson MRICS, Director/Self-Employed, Esson Energy Ltd

The newly formed Knowledge and Practice Committee met for their induction and initial meeting on 31^st October 2023 and will outline their priorities and plans over the coming months.

The Professional Group Panel chairs are now assessing the large number of applications for panel membership and look forward to providing further updates before the end of the year.
