After a rigorous selection process, we are pleased to announce that Ms Ada Fung has been appointed as the chair of the RICS Hong Kong Regional Advisory Board.
The Hong Kong Regional Advisory Board consists of a non-executive chair and six non-executive members representing a broad spectrum of the local chartered surveyor community. Working hand-in-hand with the executive office, the board serves to provide market insight and intelligence and enhance local member engagement.
Board composition
The new board composition is:
- Chair: Ms Ada Fung (馮慧詩) FRICS,head of advisory and transaction (A&T) services, CBRE Hong Kong
- Ms Hannah Jeong MRICS, head of valuation and advisory services, CBRE Hong Kong
- Mr Lesly Lam (林力山) MRICS, director, Wing Tai Properties
- Ms Ling Lam (林燕玲) FRICS, managing director, Rider Levett Bucknall
- Mr Steven Lewis MRICS, partner, Hong Kong head of infrastructure and capital projects, and global head of infrastructure technology, Ernst and Young
- Mr Patrick Wong (黃智亮) FRICS, head of Bloomberg Intelligence Hong Kong and senior analyst – Asia Pacific Real Estate, Bloomberg L.P.
- Mr Justin Yu (余永忠) MRICS, assistant general manager, Sino Group
Board’s main responsibilities
The Regional Advisory Board is responsible for:
- Offer industry and market insights in respective areas to support the delivery of RICS’ business plan in alignment with corporate strategic goals.
- Identify opportunities in the markets and offer advice to establish RICS as a thought leader in respective areas, and ultimately for qualification and standards of the profession to be adopted by the market.
- Identify areas and advise on strategies and actions that build trust in RICS as a professional body. These may include, but not limited to, advising on consultation responses to government, local bodies, regulatory bodies, policy makers and policy-making processes.
- Advise and support the delivery of RICS activities in the professional community and the industry. These may include, but not limited to, suggesting and introducing industry leaders, speakers and trainers to RICS for conferences, training and seminars, etc.
- Support RICS events and initiatives by actively participating and inviting network’s participation. Examples include, but are not limited to, chairing or joining events, organising committees, task forces, encouraging participation of membership activities and responding to standards consultations.
