Justin Sullivan FRICS has this week been elected the next RICS Senior Vice President (SVP), beginning his term on 1 July 2023.

A qualified Quantity Surveyor and Fellow of RICS, Justin is based in the UK and is the CEO and founder of Adair Limited – a construction sector consultancy.

Justin has served as a trusted Expert Witness in over 200 legal cases in the UK and overseas and has previously been a member of RICS’ Governing Council (2015-2017). He is also the current Chair of the Board of Trustees for the International Cost Measurement Standard (ICMS) and Chair of the Construction Industry Council (CIC).

RICS President Ann Gray FRICS said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Justin to the presidential team. His credentials for the role are exceptional and he is a wonderful advocate for the construction sector, as well as being a seasoned public speaker and experienced executive.

“Engaging and inspiring the next generation of surveyors is a major focus for us, and Justin has first-hand experience of this as a board member and trustee for a university, as well as through his work at the CIC promoting diversity in the profession.”

Justin will now serve a six-month term as SVP, ahead of becoming President Elect from 1 January 2024 and finally RICS President in 2025. He said it was an honour to serve the profession in this new role: “Being elected SVP gives me a fantastic opportunity to continue pursuing my passion to help secure a diverse future profession by supporting the RICS in its work for the benefit of society.

“I’m looking forward to getting started and working closely with Tina Paillet and Ann Gray to continue their work across the global issues that matter for RICS members and beyond.”
