At this month’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), RICS will join forces with its counterparts in the built environment to shape solutions to the industry’s most pressing global issues.
RICS, RTPI, RIBA and ICE will play joint hosts of a Built Environment Lounge at the event in Leeds, UK, which is expected to attract 16,000 attendees over three days (20-22 May). With investors, developers, occupiers and local authorities and government bodies in attendance, UKREiiF presents a key opportunity for RICS to influence progress on the issues of skills, housing and sustainability.
A series of panels and events in the Lounge will enhance understanding of these developing issues, debate solutions, and the empower those in attendance to take action within their own practice. Within the priority topics of housing, skills and sustainability, speakers and panellists will also discuss the importance of robust diversity, equity and inclusion programmes and tactics for attracting investment into real estate.

“Our members and the wider industry are facing big challenges, and it’s essential that we harness expertise from across the built environment to put solutions into action. We must commit to collaboration wholeheartedly, which is why we’re partnering with RTPI, RIBA and ICE. RICS and our members have a huge role to play. At UKREiiF we’ll be promoting the impact of the surveying profession in contributing to much-needed home construction and developing energy-efficient, prime commercial property, while improving building quality and placemaking through crucial standards.”
