Overview
RICS Local Bristol Group is pleased to invite members to a walking tour of Underfall Yard.
Underfall Yard is a working boat yard on the Floating Harbour in Bristol. It is the home of the Docks Engineering Team and the Harbour Master. Construction of the site was completed in 1809 and many of its buildings are Grade II listed.
The Yard suffered an arson attack in May 2023. Repair and reconstruction of the site is ongoing including to the flagship 'Big Shed'.
The site is managed by the Underfall Yard Trust and the Director of the Trust, Sarah Murray, will talk to us about the reconstruction project following the fire. We will also have a tour of the site with one of the Volunteers.
Following the tour there will be the opportunity for some networking at the Cottage Inn.
Numbers are limited due of the nature of the site and ongoing repair works.
To attend you need to wear flat, covered shoes and wear a hi-vis (not supplied).
