Overview
Join us for a tour of Scottish Water's award-winning wastewater treatment facility in Winchburgh.
Visit a new £35m wastewater treatment works that won the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Major Project Award for Sustainability in 2025 by focusing on its advanced, low-odour Nereda technology. Tour this one-of-a-kind facility with the site manager and surveyors involved, and learn about the costs, programme of works and the benefits this project brings to customers and to the surrounding environment.
Five-point PPE is required for this site visit – please bring your own if you can. Limited PPE can be made available on request.
There is free parking at the Winchburgh Bowling Club, Craigton Place, Winchburgh, Broxburn EH52 6RW. We will meet you there.
