RICS Matrics Edinburgh : Site Visit - Jenners Refurbishment Project

Overview

Following a hugely successful and valuable visit last year, RICS Matrics Edinburgh is thrilled to invite our Matrics community to the second Site Visit of the Iconic Jenners Refurbishment Project, in partnership with Graham. 

The Jenners building first opened in 1895 and was expanded in 1903, with further additions in the 1950s and 60s. It closed its doors in December 2020. 

The development encompasses 17,500 square metres across ten floors. The plans include the restoration of Jenners and will feature its iconic atrium. The upper floors will house a new hotel, along with a café. Bars and restaurant spaces will complement the Jenners building’s future offering. 

The plans for this Category A-listed structure focus on a sensitive restoration that will revive many original features lost over time.

Note is absolutely essential that those who attend come suitably prepared with their own PPE. 

Minimum, Mandatory PPE for entry to this project is 5 point PPE. Safety Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Safety Gloves, Safety Boots and Hi-Vis Vest. 

Attendees must bring their own PPE as above. 

Under no circumstances should any photos be permitted of the ongoing works as directed by the Employer.
