RICS Wales in Partnership with University of South Wales Calon Building Preview Tour

Overview

RICS in Wales, in partnership with the University of South Wales, invites you to a preview of Calon, the university’s new STEM facility.

Named after the Welsh for ‘heart’, Calon features state of the art equipment to provide the perfect environment for built environment, engineering and computer science courses. The University of South Wales is the largest provider of industry-accredited surveying and project management courses in Wales, and the Calon building will further support that.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see an incredible educational investment project, hear about its development and the facilities that the next generation will benefit from. If you are a University of South Wales alumni, have recruited graduate students from the University of South Wales or are interested in support for the future generation of built environment professionals – this event is for you.

The schedule is as follows:

Arrival at 10:00am: Registration, networking, refreshments and breakfast rolls (provided by the University of South Wales).

10:30am: Welcome address by Professor Osama Khan, Vice-Chancellor of the University of South Wales.

10:40am: Introduction from Matt Haynes, RICS in Wales Chair.

• RICS accredited courses at USW – Darryl Morgan, Head of Learning, Teaching and Student Experience
• Network 75 routes – Louise Hawker, Professional Academy Manager and students.
