Overview

In today’s workplace, mental health awareness is essential for creating inclusive and supportive environments where people feel safe to speak up, seek help and access appropriate support. Across the natural and built environment, professionals may encounter stigma, misunderstanding or uncertainty when responding to mental health challenges, both in themselves and in others.

This course, featuring curated content from Access Learning and delivered through the RICS partnership with Access Learning, provides a strong foundation in mental health awareness and workplace wellbeing. Learners will develop the confidence to recognise common mental health challenges, engage in supportive conversations and contribute to a culture of openness and understanding.

The course explores the importance of tackling stigma, supporting individual wellbeing and creating psychologically supportive environments where people feel valued and included. Through practical guidance and real-world workplace context, learners will gain the knowledge and approaches needed to promote positive mental health, support colleagues effectively and contribute to a healthier, more inclusive workplace culture.
