Follow the steps below to get started with your RICS qualification.

Step 1: Watch your Getting Started video

Choose the video for your route to learn about the assessment process and what you’ll need to submit.

Then watch the Assessment Platform tutorial for your route to learn how to use the platform.

Step 2: Work with your counsellor

Your counsellor will guide your development, review your progress and confirm when you're ready to apply for assessment.

  • If your nominated counsellor has accepted the role, agree how you will work together and create a development plan to help you stay on track throughout your qualification.
  • If your nominated counsellor hasn't accepted the role yet, ask them to check their email for the nomination, including their junk or spam folder. If they can't find the email, they can still log in to their Assessment Platform to accept the role.
  • If you have not yet nominated a counsellor, please nominate them in the Assessment Platform.

Step 3: Set up your Assessment Platform

Log in to the Assessment Platform to review your personal profile, select your competencies, download templates, and start working on your submission. You can also download your candidate guide and pathway guide from the Help section on the homepage.
